NC Pre-Kindergarten Program

NC Pre-k is designed to provide 4-year-old children, who may not otherwise be served, with a valuable educational experience. This part-day program provides young children with access to a specific curriculum and preschool experience to enhance their school readiness.

Early Education Services

With the vision of being a network of support to make Rockingham County a better community for EVERY child, the Rockingham County Partnership for Children’s Early Education Services Team provides support services throughout the county.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library offers any child, age birth-five, in Rockingham County a free, developmentally appropriate book once per month from the time they are born until their 5th birthday.

Parents As Teachers

Parents as Teachers (PAT) provides monthly home visits to families of children prenatal through kindergarten entry to assist and support parents in teaching their children and preparing them for school.

Kaleidoscope Play and Learn

KPL is a play group offered to children ages birth through 5 years old and their caregivers. The free weekly playgroup offers parents and other caregivers the opportunity to support their children’s early learning through everyday activities and build relationships with other participants.

Nurse Family Partnership

Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is an evidence-based nurse home visiting program that empowers first-time mothers to successfully change their lives and the lives of their children. Specially trained Nurse Home Visitors provide invaluable support, assessment and guidance linking families to the resources they need to thrive.
