Early Care & Education Action Plan
“With more families with young children entering the workforce, the need for accessible, affordable and high-quality care is essential. The child care industry is the workforce behind the workforce and must be valued as such. To be a family in Rockingham County looking for child care for an infant or toddler is incredibly difficult. Infant-toddler care is hard to find, hard to afford and hard to provide, which creates huge challenges for families, babies, educators, and our economy.
I am thrilled to work alongside the tenacious advocates working to address this issue in our community. Centering the voices of local families, educators and community members has led to an intentional action plan with practical strategies to ensure we are getting it right for our youngest citizens”
