Pyramid Model: Relationships with Families
This training will describe strategies for participants to reflect on their own responsive relationship practices noting strengths and additional practices to consider. Participants will reflect on how implementing strategies to support family engagement is important to children’s social-emotional development. Strategies for representing all families in the classroom will be identified along with exploring relationship building resources that promote Pyramid Model practices at home. Note: Participants must register through the Healthy Social Behaviors registration link (below). Spaces limited to 25 people.

From Observation to Action: Identifying Delays & Recording Data
This is a practical training designed to help early childhood educators strengthen their ability to observe children, recognize potential developmental delays, and document meaningful information. Participants will explore how intentional observation and accurate data collection can support early identification of developmental concerns and guide appropriate next steps. This training also focuses on objective documentation, recognizing patterns in children’s development and behavior, and using collected data to inform individualized support, classroom practices, and communication with families and other professionals.

ITS SIDS
This workshop addresses safe sleep practices and ways to reduce the risk of SIDS; including information on the NC Law regarding safe sleep practices in child care programs. This training meets the licensing requirement for training on SIDS. Note: SIDS training is required every three years.* (Max # of Participants: 10)

Play On Purpose!
In this interactive online workshop, childcare teachers will explore the foundations of The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool: setting up inviting interest areas, supporting learning throughout the day, investigating children’s questions through studies, and observing development during play. We’ll use practical classroom examples to connect these practices to the North Carolina Foundations for Early Learning and Development (NC-FELD) and discuss their relationship to North Carolina’s Pathways to the Stars. Participants will leave with simple planning and documentation ideas they can use immediately.

Classroom Management: The Key to Managing the Chaos
Have you ever heard that the classroom environment is the other teacher? How you set up the classroom supports young children's social-emotional development, establishes smooth routines and transitions, provides clear expectations, and helps manage the chaos! In this training, well cover key components of effective classroom management and discuss strategies to maintain it.

Did you know that with appropriate supervision, most accidents and incidents that occur in childcare programs can be avoided? In this session, participants will learn to recognize common situations that pose risks to children, and will learn proactive measures to ensure safety in childcare programs through appropriate supervision practices.
